 Landmark Flamenco Production
This is probably the best work Vicente Amigo has come up with - just eclipsing his first and latest works. In between you will be disappointed with a lot of soppy pap. But not on this disc. His technique is brilliant, and his keen ear for rhythm is clearly obvious. But what makes this disc his best is that there are few stylistic concessions for mass music markets. There's no boleros or salsa fusions or oriental mash ups of East meets West or whatever. OK, there is a nod and a wink to jazz fusion in one of the cenral tracks, but that's a duet with Paco De Lucia! Not going to complain about that. Amigo simply stakes his ground as one of the best and most gifted flamenco artists and every track sounds like a work of inspiration. He's not alone - I've already mentioned Paco De Lucia, the master of flamenco guitar - credit is also due to the percussions of Tino Di Geraldo, one of his best contributions on disc, and the gravelly voiced Duquende. Both give this work an extra edge.
 空間を自在に操るフラメンコギター
貴公子ビセンテの二作目。デビュー作でも只者ではない片鱗を随所に見せてくれていたが、二作目にしてすでに自分の世界を確立してしまっている。
彼の特徴として、乾いたトーンでナイフのように抉っていく従来のフラメンコギターとは異なり、あくまでスペイシーなフレイズ、独特のリズム感覚は新世代の旗手として頼もしい限り。タイトル曲の計算されつくした構成・演奏には感動を通り越して笑ってしまうぐらい。
